Note to the seeker #2:
We must practise spirituality according to the times and according to our individual temperament. People have wrong notions about a spiritual seeker or monk. That they must wear ochre robes, live in solitude, without interaction, proper food and shelter, and that is true renunciation. This is falsehood. Many fake egotistic spiritualists live like this, denying life.
True renunciation is of the ego and mind. Life can flow as it does and yet sadhana can and must continue in the middle of the chaos of samsaara.
There are many monks living amongst us, unbeknownst to people, using all modern day facilities, interacting like regular people yet doing their sadhana — withdrawing from their senses and desires to attain perfect vairagya (dispassion/detachment) and moksha — and firmly operating from the Oneness of Divinity that pervades all life.
Only orthodoxy is not the proof of spirituality. No need to give proof. God is the witness. Those intelligent and sensible will understand this.
Never seek acceptance from family and friends, they will always misinterpret and doubt your intentions. Seek your own acceptance first. Are you okay with how things are? Are you able to avoid suffering from the harsh reality that Grace blesses you with to cleanse you of the ego… from false notions, false attachments and the grand delusions you have about life?
